ELECTRICAL SAFETY CHECK
THE SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY COMES FIRST

Electrical Wiring
Most electrical fires result from problems with “fixed wiring”, such as faulty electrical outlets and old wiring. In urban areas, faulty wiring accounts for 33% of residential electrical fires.
Electrical cabling only has a usable life span of 50 years, so if you think your cabling may be older than that – you could be at serious risk of fire, and will not comply with modern standards.
Home Appliances
Next to heating your home, appliances consume the most electricity and sometimes cause electrical fires. Those most often involved are electric stoves and ovens, dryers and central heating units.
How We Reduce Your Risk
Wiring hazards often begin in the places hardest to spot. We use an array of special equipment to check your wiring and major appliances to ensure there’s no potential hazards. It only takes one fault to cause a fire.
We recommend that ALL homes – particularly older homes – need a complete whole-house wiring inspection at least once a year. We look for frayed wiring and other electrical hazards, such as any place where water can potentially come in contact with electrical power.
Our Electrical Safety Check includes:
- Lights and switches
- Power points and outlets
- Smoke alarms and detectors
- Switchboards
- Outdoor wiring
You’ll receive a detailed report highlighting exactly what we have checked and if there are any problems or potential hazards requiring attention. We’ll also tell you exactly what we can do to fix them and how much it will cost.
The safety of you and your family must always come first.
